BACnet® International held its 8th annual BACnet® Interoperability Workshop in Milwaukee, WI on October 16-18th.
The event was sponsored by Johnson Controls. This workshop is designed to be an informal environment in which engineers
can bring their BACnet® implementations for informal testing with other BACnet® implementations and thus fostering communications
within the BACnet® community and promoting interoperability of BACnet® devices. Below are a couple of photos from the event.
This year the event was attended by 108 engineers from 34 different companies and 6 different countries.
On the first day of the workshop, the group was divided into 46 different teams forming 23 work groups per session.
Each team participated in 8 work sessions on the first day. These work sessions allowed the different teams to meet
one-on-one in order to inter-connect their hardware and communicate using BACnet® services between the devices. This
year we offered training sessions on the second day as an option to attending additional work sessions for testing.
On the third day we provided time for teams to schedule their own testing time with other teams.
Prior to the workshop event, the BTL working group held its quarterly meeting to discuss BTL testing.
